Time To Grind: Raptors Uprising GC falls to Heat Check Gaming in first round of bracket play

Raptors Uprising GC now has their work cut out for them after suffering a 3-1 series defeat (10-23, 21-18, 19-22, 12-22) at the hands of Heat Check Gaming.

Toronto must now record victory on Wednesday as well as twice on Friday if they are to punch their ticket to D.C.

An interesting move by head coach Roy Krishnan saw him start BallLikeSeem over Mooch, but as is the case with any team, trust in your depth is critical to long-term success.

Yet, a sluggish start from Raptors Uprising saw them drop Game 1 and leave Miami with all the momentum heading into Game 2.

The squad duly bounced back and leveled the series with a 21-18 win as Toronto looked to take advantage in Game 3.

However, the Heat regained control and finished off Raptors Uprising in Games 3 and 4 to take the series 3-1.

Haam finished the evening off as the team’s leading scorer with 40, while Seem picked up a double-double following 20 points and 14 assists.

Post-game, Putback shared his thoughts on a tough loss for his team.

“It was a tough loss today, we went out there and had a game plan, but it went the exact opposite,” said Putback.

“We just have to go back to the drawing board now.”

Putback also expressed just how important it is for him and the squad to reset ahead of Wednesday.

“We always have to come and reset our minds the mental next day.”

“We still have a job to do and the job’s not finished yet.”

Raptors Uprising is back in action on Wednesday, April 19th at 6:45pm ET against community team G1 Longhorns.
