Hard To Take: Raptors Uprising GC bows out of The Turn following two-game loss to Blazer5 Gaming

It was a heart-wrenching night for Raptors Uprising GC as the squad suffered elimination from The Turn after a sweep at the hands of Blazer5 Gaming.

Toronto will now enter The Ticket in the hopes of clinching a spot in 5v5 playoffs.

After winning three of their last four games coming into their clash with Portland, morale was as high as it had been all season for Raptors Uprising. Coming into the game, there was a sense of new life within the team as the end of the 2023 season looms.

In Game 1, Toronto fell 72-66, with two missed dunks arguably costing the squad down the stretch. It felt like this one could have gone either way, and ultimately, it came down to fine margins as Portland took a 1-0 series lead.

Controversy then followed in Game 2, as the game disconnected while Portland got a shot off which or may not have gone in.

At the reset, Blazer5 got the ball back and drained a three-pointer with two seconds left in the third. This arguable shifted momentum Portland’s way heading into the fourth.

A 79-75 victory in favour of B5 saw them wrap up a 2-0 series win at the expense of Toronto.

On the night, Mooch led the team in scoring with 38 points over the series, with BallLikeSeem not far behind with 36 of his own.

Gazulli, Putback, and Haam also recorded double digits in points with 30, 21 and 16 respectively.

Mooch led in assists with 34, while Seem’s 21 rebounds also gave him a double-double.

Up next, Raptors Uprising GC will get set for The Ticket, with their season now hanging in the balance.
