“DIMEZ” EARNS NBA 2K LEAGUE PLAYER OF THE WEEK AWARD

The NBA 2K League announced Tuesday that Raptors Uprising GC point guard Artreyo “Dimez” Boyd has been named the NBA 2K League Player of the Week for Week 8.

“Dimez”, a recent acquisition from Mavs Gaming on July 20, led Raptors Uprising to a 2-0 sweep over NetsGC (95-99 and 90-70) to begin Week 8 NBA 2K League action. The league’s first-ever draft pick enjoyed a memorable debut scoring a combined 57 points to go along with 26 assists against NetsGC on Wednesday, July 28. Two nights later, Dimez led Raptors Uprising to its second 2-0 sweep of the week, beating Warriors Gaming Squad by scores of 73-70 and 81-71. The point guard scored a combined 55 points with 14 assists to help mark the team’s first undefeated week of NBA 2K League action in 2021.

Dimez earns the Player of the Week honour for the first time in his Raptors Uprising career and becomes only the second Raptors Uprising player to win the award, after Kenneth “Kenny Got Work” Hailey won the accolade four times during the team’s historic 2020 season.

Raptors Uprising conclude regular season action when the team takes on Grizz Gaming on Wednesday, August 11 (7 p.m.) in Week 10. The two-game series, and all NBA 2K League action, can be streamed live on the NBA 2K League’s Twitch and YouTube channels.
