Crunch Time: Raptors Uprising GC heads into Steal Open in high spirits

It’s time to get down to business.

For the first time since THE TIPOFF, Raptors Uprising GC is heading back to Indy.

After finishing eighth following 3v3 Seed Weeks, the squad is set to go through the Steal Open in a bid to reach the 3v3 Championships.

In the first round, Toronto will take on a familiar opponent in the Gen.G Tigers, who were seeded 11th.

Raptors Uprising just recently faced off against the opposing team, besting them 3-1 in their second series of 3v3 Seed Weeks.

After finishing 3-2 over two weeks of 3v3 play, it is safe to say that confidence is indeed on the rise within the group.

Toronto ended their final week of remote play on a high, recording back-to-back wins over Jazz Gaming and Lakers Gaming. Their final matchup against the Lakers was played in front of several fans, who were able to cheer their team on ahead of their return to in-person play.

Fanta SZN and co. put on two strong performances despite having their 3v3 playoff fate already sealed before the start of the week. Now, Raptors Uprising is just four wins away from reaching the 3v3 Championships, a feat that will undoubtedly be on each squad member’s mind.

Should Toronto take care of business against Gen.G, they will go up against either Hornets Venom GT or Magic Gaming in the second round.

The squad will have been waiting for their moment to return to the NBA 2K League stage for quite some time.

“I’m excited for this team to get on the stage,” said Kenny Got Work.

“I feel like we’ve been needing some kind of spark, and hopefully that will give us the energy to go on some kind of run.”

Over the last couple of weeks, the dynamic around the team has shifted in a positive way, and that shift could not have come at a better time.

Results matter more than ever now, and Toronto will firmly have their sights set on building momentum early as they look to for a 3v3 Championships berth.

It’s been a rollercoaster ride of a season in terms of the team’s spirit, but coming off of a strong end to 3v3 Seed Weeks, Raptors Uprising GC is more ready than they have been to show the league exactly what they’re made of.

The Steal Open begins on Wednesday, August 10th, with the games available to stream on the NBA 2K League’s official Twitch and YouTube channels.
