TRADE: Raptors Uprising GC acquires pair of draft picks in four-team trade

And so, we have our first trade of the offseason.

Raptors Uprising GC acquired the 26th selection in the 2023 NBA 2K League Draft and 2024 first round pick in exchange for Xavier “Big Saint” St John and 2024 second round pick.

The Mavs have sent the 26th pick from 2023 NBA 2K League Draft to Toronto, while the Cavs have sent their first round pick to Raptors Uprising.

With that, Big Saint will be joining Cleveland, who also received a 2024 first round pick from NBL Oz Gaming.

In addition, Raptors Uprising sent Mavs Gaming a 2024 second round pick. Dallas has also acquired Brendan “Reizey” Hill from Pacers Gaming, who in return will receive the Cav’s 10th pick in the 2023 NBA 2K League Draft.

Moreover, Big Saint will leave Toronto after just one season with the team after being selected in the second round of the 2022 NBA 2K League Draft with pick No. 23.

It’s safe to say that Big Saint was an engaging personality both on and off the court during his time in Toronto. His drive and desire to win were qualities that any team would be grateful to have at their disposal. It was evident during Raptors Uprising’s 2022 season that Big Saint was hungry for glory and, despite falling short of victory, he was a fierce competitor no matter the circumstances. Big Saint excelled in the forward role last season and will look to continue his personal growth in the NBA 2K League in 2023.

Following the trade, two players currently remain from Toronto’s 2022 roster; Kenny Got Work and Type. Moreover, newly appointed head coach Roy Krishnan has some big plans ahead of the 2023 NBA 2K League season.

Toronto is now set to welcome the 26th pick from the 2023 NBA 2K League Draft to their ranks, with the date of the draft still to be determined.

As we count down the days until the return of the NBA 2K League, it appears to be just the beginning of a new era for Raptors Uprising GC.
