Raptors Uprising re-acquire All Hail Trey from Cavs Legion GC ahead of Season 4

TORONTO, Canada—Raptors Uprising GC announced today that the team has acquired forward Trevion “All Hail Trey” Hendrix from Cavs Legion GC in exchange for the 21st overall pick in the 2021 NBA 2K League Draft.

Originally chosen in the fourth round (58th overall) of the inaugural 2018 Draft by Raptors Uprising, All Hail Trey found immediate success with Toronto in Season 1, averaging 14.4 points while making a name for himself as one of the premiere defenders in the NBA 2K League.

After leading the franchise to its first-ever playoff berth, the Arkansas native was one of two players—alongside reigning MVP Kenny Got Work—retained heading into Season 2. Following successful stints as a shooting guard and small forward, All Hail Trey would establish himself as a go-to power forward for Raptors Uprising in 2019, building on what was a strong rookie campaign.

Then came one of the more heart-wrenching moments in franchise history.

In order to acquire eventual 2020 All-NBA 2K League centre Sick One from Cleveland, All Hail Trey would be dealt midway through Season 2 in a one-for-one deal completed on May 13, 2019, a move which Raptors Uprising Team Manager Shane Talbot described at the time as one of the toughest decisions of his career.

“Trey is an elite Power Forward and was critical to our season 1 success,” said Talbot. “When we traded him in Season 2 it was to fill a need we had a centre. Now, with specialists at every other position and an opportunity to bring Trey back, the planets aligned for his return, and we couldn’t be more excited to reunite him with Kenny and our new-look lineup.”

All Hail Trey would go on to spend the better part of two seasons with Cavs Legion, continuing his reign as one of the more well-rounded players in the NBA 2K League.

In 39 regular-season games last season, he’d average 7.2 points, 4.4 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 1.5 steals, all while turning the ball over less than once a game (0.97). Despite Cleveland’s struggles in 2020, the veteran sharpshooter was one of the lone consistent bright spots on his 4-12 team, connecting on 50.2 per cent of his shots from the field and 46.3 per cent from three.

Now, All Hail Trey returns to the place he’s found the most success, reuniting with Kenny and his new teammates North of the border in 2021 as Raptors Uprising—the reigning TIPOFF and TURN Tournament champions—now have five players on their roster heading into Season 4: Kenny Got Work, Timelycook, ReeceMode, Type, and All Hail Trey.
