Raptors Uprising Gaming Club (GC), part of the NBA 2K League, announced today they have acquired Gerald “Jerry” Knapp (gamertag: “Sick x 973”) from the Cleveland Cavs Legion Gaming Club (GC) in exchange for Trevion “Trey” Hendrix (gamertag: “All Hail Trey“).
Knapp began playing competitively in 2008 and joined the NBA 2K Pro-Am scene in 2015. Knapp was selected 19th overall by Cleveland Cavs Legion GC in 2018 and retained by the franchise for the 2019 season. Knapp is a native of Verona, New Jersey.
Knapp averaged 16 points, 5.4 rebounds and 7.0 assists during the 2018 NBA 2K League regular season. He averaged 21.5 points, 18.5 rebounds and 3.3 assists in the 2018 NBA 2K League Playoffs, cementing himself as an elite centre in the NBA 2K League
Hendrix averaged 14.8 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.8 assists during the 2018 NBA 2K League regular season while averaging 3.0 points and 4.0 rebounds in the 2018 NBA 2K League Playoffs. Hendrix predominantly played an elite catch and shoot role, with the ability to impact both ends of the floor at shooting guard, small forward and power forward.
Hendrix, a native of Hot Springs, Arkansas, was a fourth-round pick of Raptors Uprising GC during the inaugural 2018 season and was one of two players retained by the franchise for the 2019 season.
