Only Way Is Up: Raptors Uprising GC ready for return to Indy following two straight victories

Now that’s how you wrap up a perfect week ahead of Indy!

In their final remote game of the season, Raptors Uprising GC took care of business against Lakers Gaming, taking the series 3-1 to finish off 3v3 Seed Weeks with two straight wins.

Despite an admirable 3-2 record throughout the two weeks of play, Toronto will be heading to the Steal Open. Yet, with a return to Indy now edging closer, morale is on the rise within this Raptors Uprising group.

At this point in the season, team spirit is arguably one of the most important factors heading into your biggest games of the season. To go 2-0 in your final week of remote play will prove beyond beneficial for Toronto ahead of their return to Indy.

Against the Lakers in their final series of 3v3 Seed Weeks, Raptors Uprising put on a show in front of fans in attendance at Bell Gaming Centre, ensuring everyone’s night ended with smiles on their faces.

Game 1 saw Toronto establish themselves early, recording a 21-10 victory, spearheaded by FantaSZN’s 11 points. In recent games, strong starts have dearly helped Toronto, and Thursday’s series was yet another example.

Although momentum was on Toronto’s side, the Lakers began to find their spark in Game 2 and ran away 22-14 victors to even the series.

Just like against the Jazz the day before, Raptors Uprising knew they needed to rally and take control once again. In Game 3, the squad did just that.

A hard-fought 23-18 win saw Toronto move within one of clinching the series, and in Game 4, they did just that with a 21-17 victory to take the series 3-1.

On the night, Fanta put up a monstrous display in the scoring column with 44 points across the four games, while Type and Big Saint recorded 17 and 15 respectively.

Fanta also led the team in assists and steals with 11 and four, as Type was the team’s leading rebounder with 11.

Yes, this series did not have any impact on Toronto’s playoff fate, but to end with a statement victory will go a long way with regards to the team’s morale.

The wins over the Jazz and the Lakers were two of Raptors Uprising’s best 3v3 performances of the season, and with the Steal Open less than two weeks away, Toronto can look back on what worked, what didn’t, and continue to improve before heading to Indy.

Raptors Uprising GC will be back in action during the Steal Open in Indiana, which begins on Wednesday, August 10th.
