Kenny Got Work earns second Player of the Week award of 2020 NBA 2K League season

TORONTO, Canada—The NBA 2K League announced Tuesday that Raptors Uprising GC point guard Kenneth “Kenny Got Work” Hailey has been named the NBA 2K League Week 3 Player of the Week. Kenny earns the honour for the second time in his career after also winning the award in Week 1.

The Raptors Uprising’s all-time leading scorer averaged 34.3 points, 6.5 assists and 3.5 steals across four series games as Toronto won both Week 3 matchups, improving to a league-best 6-0 record this season. He also shot 60.0 per cent from the field (48-for-80) and 54.1 per cent from three-point range (20-for-37).

Kenny Got Work began Week 3 by helping Raptors Uprising sweep Season 1 champions, Knicks Gaming, on May 19, posting 69 points, 13 assists and seven steals while making 10 three-pointers in two games. Two nights later, the Memphis native followed it up with a combined 68-point and 13-assist effort against Hawks Talon GC to lead Raptors Uprising to its franchise-best sixth win in a row on May 21.

Originally taken 11th overall in the inaugural NBA 2K League Draft, Kenny Got Work is the longest-serving Raptors Uprising player and is the only player to represent Toronto in all three NBA 2K League seasons. Hailey earns the Player of the Week honour for the second time in his career, after becoming the first Raptors Uprising player to win the award earlier this season in Week 1.

Raptors Uprising (6-0) return to action in Week 5 when they take on NetsGC on Tuesday, June 2 (7 p.m. ET) after a bye in Week 4. The matchup will be televised on Sportsnet ONE and streamed on Sportsnet NOW, Twitch and YouTube.
