Back To Basics: Raptors Uprising GC ready for return to 5v5 in THE TURN

With 3v3 put to the side for now, Raptors Uprising GC returns to 5v5 action in this year’s edition of THE TURN.

Remote bracket play is set to begin on May 24th, with Toronto getting straight to it on the first day of the tournament.

In their group, Raptors Uprising will face Grizz Gaming (May 24th), Celtics Crossover Gaming (May 26th), 76ers GC (May 27th), Hornets Venom GT (June 2nd), and the Gen G Tigers of Shanghai (June 3rd).

All games will be available to watch on the NBA 2K League’s official Twitch and YouTube accounts.

The squad has already gone up against three of these teams in previous tournaments this year, with the Celtics and the Tigers of Shanghai being the two opponents Toronto has yet to play in 2022.

Toronto beat both Grizz Gaming and the Hornets in group play of THE TIPOFF, while the 76ers have beaten Raptors Uprising GC on three separate occasions so far this season (once in THE TIPOFF bracket play, twice in the Slam Open group play).

Revenge will firmly be on Toronto’s mind when it comes time to play the 76ers, with that game arguably serving as Raptors Uprising’s most highly-anticipated matchup of group play.

Last year, Toronto suffered defeat at the hands of Blazer5 Gaming in the opening round. This year, Raptors Uprising GC will firmly have their sights set on not only heading to Indiana, but also going as far they can in bracket play.

With the whole squad back together, it’s safe to say that Toronto will be fired up ahead of their return to 5v5 play.

Raptors Uprising GC’s opening game of the tournament is scheduled for Tuesday, May 24th against Grizz Gaming at 7:00 pm EST.
